About Me
Hi, I’m Naoki — your private hiking & cultural guide in Tokyo.
Let’s explore nature and culture together.
Who I Am
My name is Naoki Aoyama.
I grew up surrounded by forests and mountains, and I’ve always felt a deep connection to nature.
I worked as a Tokyo Park Ranger, guiding people in forests and temples, and also as a nature guide in Yakushima, Shiretoko, and Banff, Canada.
These experiences shaped my dream: to connect people from around the world with Japan’s natural and cultural beauty.

Why I Guide
I believe private tours allow you to:
- Walk at your own pace, without stress.
- Enjoy flexible, customized experiences.
- Connect with local stories on a deeper level.
My goal is to guide not as a lecturer, but as a local friend.
Experience & Credentials
- Former Tokyo Park Ranger (nature conservation & visitor guidance)
- Licensed nature guide in Yakushima and Shiretoko
- Experience as rickshaw guide in Asakusa (Tokyo’s historic district)
- Outdoor educator & hiking instructor for schools and groups
- TOEIC 600+ and growing (studying to reach 850)
A Bit More About Me
When I’m not guiding, I enjoy trail running, photography, and traveling.
I also love sharing Japanese food and anime culture with guests!
